QM Gravy?

The Quality in Action QM session I watched tonight was “Pass the #QMgravy: How to Promote QM on Your Campus and the World.” Carles Piscitello was the presenter and started the hashtag. Dr. Charles Piscitello is a senior instructional designer and online quality assurance manager at Ashland University. Piscitello shared information about how they facilitate QM professional development at Ashland University with APPQMR, IYOC, and DYOC workshops. Piscitello helped start a Learning Community to start new courses online or revamp existing ones. The QM Ohio group has an Annual Member Meeting and short videos to encourage others to share information. Piscitello also explained being part of a QM for Students coach certification: a certification to teach students about QM. I didn’t know about this! They also spoke about the use of social media in their regional network (Ohio) and also nationally. The QM Ohio network has options for sharing knowledge and peer reviews within the network. The Ohio group has annual conferences with speakers including Karen Costa. I did not know about the regional conference and enjoyed learning all that Piscitello and colleagues are doing to share the QM gravy.
