The STEM Journal Club had an event this evening, and I had the opportunity to participate. Once again, I watched in awe how students came together to create professional development opportunities and share knowledge. I spoke about my career trajectory and tried to emphasize the energy and motivation that come from student-driven projects! The STEM Journal Club has several leadership members also working to promote Delftia projects. SACNAS @ NCSU president was there to encourage more connections. The NCSU Biotechnology Club is working on joint programming with the STEM Journal Club… and now SACNAS is inviting other clubs to do cross-blog posts! The level of collaboration, communication, and sharing is impressive. I tried to highlight co-creation, realizing more than half my audience co-created projects as a team last semester! I encouraged all groups to work together to launch a sustainability-related project. I’m excited to see what they will organize, create, discover, and share together!
